Today's cultural norms seem to focused on hate and more hate. Where has all the love disappeared to? We are now more concerned about promoting political parties and politicians, and spewing out hate when someone rejects a view that is different from ours. We are so focused on things that don't and will not matter in the end. We fight for "our place" in this world, a world that is surely going to pass. We fight to hold on to "property" that does not belong to us, but to the Almighty God. We forget the fact that we entered this world with nothing, and hence, we will leave with nothing. We forgot how to love, and what love is. When we seek to give genuine love, we must look to our perfect Creator. He represents the epitome of what genuine love is. His ultimate sacrifice....His life on Calvary for our sins (yours and mine).
How can we get back to the basics? We must look within ourselves, strip down ourselves of everything that we have used to build ourselves up to the place where we believe we are higher, or more superior than others. We must strip down ourselves and re-evaluate our souls. Who are we without the titles, the clothes, cars, house, jobs, etc. Many of us are empty and devoid of a solid connection with God. God is able to transform all our lives, and conform our hearts to His. We fight, and hate on each other because we are lacking the most important connection, and that connection is to God. What are we teaching our children? What world are we leaving for them and their heirs? Can we search ourselves for a minute and evaluate how we are living our lives? How are we treating our brothers and sisters, regardless of their obvious differences? My prayer is we will start loving one another regardless of our differences. Just simply show love when you go each day, it is a choice. Encourage those around you to show love to those they encounter each day. If we do this, we can create waves of love. When love abounds, Christ abounds. When Christ abounds and rule in our hearts and life, positive changes happen.
As Leviticus 19:18 states, "You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord."
We are all one: HUMAN. We were all created by God, who placed us here to procreate and fill the earth. He did not make us higher than the other, because He is already in that role. He governs and judges. Let us let God be God, and we be His sheep.
Go out and love today, "and may the peace of God which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus" (Phil 4:7)
I believe knowledge is something we gain through our life
