Being ready for change means that you are also ready for the ups and downs that accompany change. When you approach a new situation such as a job you have wanted, you approach it with excitement and vigor. Eventually the excitement dwindles down and it will be time for real work to begin. The reality of the task may be overwhelming to you, and may require adjustments on your part. Change in itself is intimidating and whether or not you are ready, the changes will occur. It is during these times that you will know what you are made of, if you did not know before. Many often give up, because of a lack of willpower. Change is a must, but it is up to you and I how we choose to view it. We can choose to ride the waves of the change or we can allow the waves to overcome us and drown us out.
It is important to set out with an open mind. Realize it is a chance to learn something new, and a chance to grow. Be patient with yourself as the transition occur. Know that you will not accomplish everything overnight. Learn to ride the waves with great ease. Never look back, but look forward with hope, determination and a dream. Most importantly, never forget why you are there. When you are in doubt, your reasons for being there will provide you with the motivation you need to carry on.
