Keep Aiming High!

As a new day and week rolls around we get an opportunity to begin afresh, another opportunity to pursue our greatest dream and desires. Don't allow the day to pass by without reaching for higher heights. It is okay to accept life as it is if that is where you see yourself, but if it is in your dreams to go further, then make a start today.

If you are aiming high, then you must put in the work to reach it. Opportunity knocks at your door each day you arise, but it is up to you to chose whether or not to open the door. Keep in mind that the knock may not come all the time, so seize the moment and start climbing the ladder as high as you wish to go.

You are a Conqueror!

We all have moments where we feel overcome by distress and as though we have been conquered by self doubt and bad luck. But it does not have to be so; thoughts are thoughts and they do not have to manifest in your life. If they manifest in your life it is because you have given it room to grow and breathe. But just as much as it has manifested in your life, you can chose to eradicate it by speaking life into your existence. You can change your situation by being positive and allowing the grace, mercies and blessings of God to come in and saturate your entire being and your surroundings.

The moment you give thought to negative energy is the moment you decide to slowly succumb to defeat. Fight for your reason to survive, believe in yourself and reach out in prayer to God for help. He is there and He will help you to become a conqueror.

God's Love for us....

We all look for that thing called love and some of us get into trouble or get hurt doing so. We often forget that we have the greatest love anyone could ask for, and that is God's love. It is the kind of love that envelopes everything. It is a love that does not hurt, it is not puffed up, it is not dependent on what you can do for Him. This kind of love is pure, clean and genuine. It keeps on giving and giving even when you have decided to turn your back on it. With love like that, why do we go after anything else? Why do we crave and run after love that humiliates and cause grief? We must look into our lives to determine why? Are we loving ourselves the way Our God loves us? Maybe not.

In order to receive true love from someone else, we must first love ourselves. Loving ourselves simply means taking care of ourselves through self-respect, knowing what is right and what feels right. When we love ourselves we will not hurt ourselves and therefore we will not allow someone else to hurt us either. Let us learn to love ourselves through the example Our Creator has set.

Reflecting.....

We have made it through another week and are embarking on a new one. As we start this new week, let us reflect on the past week and pick out those parts where we recognize that more work is needed in. We all have weaknesses but those are points that we can work on. It is important to do reflections, more so on a daily basis, it helps us to evolve into better beings. There are simple things we can do to achieve cohesiveness in our lives, some of these things include meditation, reading self-help books geared towards inspiring, motivating, etc.

When we reflect, we show that we know we have fallen short and we are seeking to grow and be better in all aspects of our lives. Self-reflection is needed in our lives and we should make it a norm to include it as a part of our daily routine as we seek to develop and be the best of us.

Begin each day right. The perfect opportunity to start your day right is before your feet hits the ground. Have inspirational material within arms reach, so that you can begin your day right. You may chose to say a prayer of thanks for a new day and seek guidance throughout the day. You may also read some inspirational words to help you get through the day.

The way you chose to start your day will have a major impact on how the rest of your day pans out. Start it in a positive and enlightening day. Maintain a positive aura around you, one that will block anything negative. Life can be stressful at times, so it is important for each of us to maintain a balance and incorporate an inspirational aspect within our daily routine.

Make this the day to start appreciating every single moment of your life. Life is not guaranteed, there is always a question mark by tomorrow but you certainly have today. The simple things in life are free such as the air you breathe, the ocean we get to appreciate, the universe and it's wide, diverse and exceptional qualities. We get to witness the stars and moon lighting the night, the sun lighting the day. We also get to see the rainfall saturate the earth which allows it to flourish and provide some of our basic necessities.

We get so caught up in what we believe are the important aspects of life, that we end up missing out on what's standing right in front of us. As the years go by, make we take the time to enjoy the simple treasures around, may we find the peace and joy in what was created for us by Our Creator, and seize from going after things which are temporary.

A Celebration....

Today we chose to celebrate the birth of Our Lord and Savior, we do it in remembrance of Our Lord who gave His life for us. As we celebrate, may we never forget the real meaning of the season. May we never allow commercialization to be the major part of our celebration. May we never chose to replace the real meaning of the season by allowing ourselves to be overwhelmed by the gifting and receiving of gifts. May we use the time to celebrate Our King by being humble and reaching out to the less fortunate.

May we think Christ-like, we know He would think about us first. So let us chose to put others first, remember the weak in heart, those who are suffering from some physical ailment, let us remember to feed the hunger and clothe the poor. I believe Christ would want us to do that in remembrance of Him.

Let us celebrate the birth of Christ as He would want us too. Merry Christmas!

Life Choices....

There are days when you will look back on some of the choices and decisions you have made, and come to the conclusion that they weren't too smart. But most importantly, hopefully you will realize that it wasn't the end all of your life.

It doesn't pay to be so hard on yourself, because life itself is imperfect hence the errors we make. What we ought to do with those errors, is to learn from them, then carry-on to a productive and successful joyful existence. Remember, you only live once so make great choices but in the event you don't, make a mental note to learn from the not so great choices.

More and more as we go through life, we realize how important it is to stand up for what is right. The world is a tough place, well not necessarily the world, but perhaps us...we are tough. We fight against each other for power, or perhaps to show that I am better than you. The fact is, we all fall short each and every day, we all have our own shortcomings.

We want better, a better life, a better world but yet we refuse to work together. We refuse to put our differences aside, we refuse to abolish hate and anger from our daily lives. We will not be a prosperous race until we come together as one...in unity!

Unity is strength!

It is amazing how someone else story can touch your heart and motivate you towards greater things. Regardless of whatever you are facing today, remember it will get better in the morning. Be persistent and don't give up or give in. If you are facing illness, loss of income, self-doubt, etc., it is still possible to have a turn around and a comeback in your life.

Stick close to those who truly care about you. Don't lose hope or allow your issues to get the best of you. At times you will think that your problem is impossible to solve, but I am here to tell you it isn't. In life, you will encounter those who have been through great tribulation, and they have an inspiring story of how they were able to overcome. Listen and learn from them. Take mental notes and align them with your issues where necessary.
