As you begin this new day, begin it with hope and keep working towards your goal of achieving your dreams. They can only come alive when you decide to live it, that is the only way for them to come into existence. Don't give up, even though there may be doubts and the prospects look nearly impossible. The greatest success story out there, has had many trials, errors, and days when they considered throwing in the towel. What kept them going, you may ask? It's the zeal, the quest, the urgency of their dream. They realized they had something important to give, they realized that their dream needed to be birth. They believed in their vision and whatever roadblocks came into their way, they choose to walk over it, or possibly pick it up and remove it. They did not allow the roadblocks to stop them from pursuing their dreams and goals.

You have your dream, and you know what it is about. If you are passionate about it, and you believe in its prospects, you believe in its capacity to affect lives in a positive way, you will proceed to achieve. You will not allow anything to bring it to a complete stop. Rise up and take a grasp on your dreams, on your future. Today is not the day to go back to sleep, today, however, is the day to set the world on fire with the vision God has given you.

Whether you were born a leader, or your leadership skills were developed overtime, one thing that is certain is that the attitude of your team is based on your leadership. A strong and effective leader will lead by example, he inspires and empowers his team to be the best that they can be, by providing them with the necessary tools that will lead them to success. An effective leader is fair and precise and does not divert from his skills to suit the needs of his friends. He does not divert from his course of action and will not allow ethics to fall by the way side. He understands the importance of being ethically responsible. Though he knows that his duty is to make the firm succeed financially and otherwise, he fully comprehends transparency and the importance of making his employees feel invaluable.

True leadership is not based solely on what one learns in a classroom, it also comes from us, who we are, and how we relate to each other. A great leader cares about the overall organization, which means the employees and the success of the firm. Having a title of manager or boss does not equate to being an effective leader, it is more involved than a description on a job title. It is knowing and understanding your customers (both internally and externally), and effectively leading the firm with everyone in mind because at the end of the day, a leader is responsible for all.

As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving season, take a moment to express gratitude for everything, the good, the bad and the in between. Let us also remember those who are without family, friends and a simple meal. We set aside Thanksgiving as a special day to give thanks, but we must remember to give thanks every single day of our lives. Nothing is a guarantee, not today or tomorrow. Utilize your time wisely, by remembering those who are without. We tend to join in together to make sure no one goes without on Thanksgiving or Christmas, but we must also keep in mind that there are several days, weeks and months between those seasons. So let us make it a weekly habit to remember those who are without, by adding an extra food item to our shopping list and dropping it off for those in need.

May everyday of your life be filled with more than enough blessings, so that you will be able to share it. May the warmness of the seasons bring you the comfort you need. May your heart be filled with gratitude and love, as you gather with your loved ones while remembering those in need.

How we choose to interact with each other says a lot about our character, and where we are in our lives. Putting down the person next to you highlights some of the issues you have in your life, and your ability to effectively work on them. When we remain ignorant to our issues, they fester up to a place where they become the norm in our lives. It is never okay to put someone down. We all have issues but there a multitude of ways to deal with them, and one of those ways does not include putting someone down. When you put someone down, you are showcasing how weak you are, even though in your mind you are strong. It takes a strong and courageous person to walk away from a bully, it takes a wise person to utilize what they learn from a bully to empower and inspire others.

Life is not perfect for anyone of us, but we can make it much easier when we choose to be respectful of others. Respect others, even if you don't like what they look like or how they sound, because it is simply your opinion and it may not matter to them. Respect yourself enough where you can respect others. When you attempt to offend someone, you may not succeed, but you are leaving an image of yourself that is less than flattering. If we would search ourselves daily, we would see our flaws and our shortcomings, which should prompt us to make adjustments. We all have areas in our lives that need work, and we should work on those before we try to put others down.
Make the human choice to uplift others, to empower and inspire.

Worldwide atrocities in our time seems to be the norm. Each day you arise, there seems to be another violent act among humanity that affects us all. We may wonder why? The reason behind the calamities is pure hate, and disobedience. We have decided that we do not need God, and we can handle everything by ourselves. This has been proved false. We are lacking peace, love, joy, contentment. We have lost the true meaning of life and we are running around believing that destroying each other will bring us purpose and peace. We have separated ourselves based on religious views or lack thereof, to the point where we are unable to see each other as a member of the human race.

We need an intervention, and only when God intervenes will we experience peace and love again. Will the world ever get better? I believe we have gone too far with the destruction for it to come back. We must be purged of our wicked and hateful ways, and only when God appears that purging will take place. Those of us who can love without borders, should continue doing so. Let us stay away from pursuing that which is a catalyst for eternal damnation. Let us remain steadfast in our hope, let us continue to pray and seek not the things of this world. We should not stop praying for world peace, and for love to conquer it all, but we should put our trust in God and seek Him and not to understand this world.

We have become accustomed to looking at each other's differences and forget about the shared purposes we all have. What are the shared purposes? We are all here to love each other, support each other, and provide a caring, warm, and nurturing atmosphere for each other. We lose sight of our purpose because we have allowed society to dictate our lives, or we have become a society that is fixated on how we can hate each other. We look at each other from our outside appearances, not giving time to understand or getting to know each other from the inside. We point out our obvious differences such as race, culture, etc., and end up missing out on the fact that we are all human, we are all inherently linked. The same blood that was shed for one, was shed for all. 

We all live on planet earth, sharing the same air, rain, etc. Yet we choose to discriminate and hate. We are all blood brothers and sisters, regardless of color, regardless of what we allow our minds to think. We threaten our very existence when we choose to hate each other. The same end that meets one (namely death), is the same end that will meet us all. We all have it within us to change our thought process, to choose love over hate. Resist hate and accept love; it is not easier said than done, it is plain easy. Look at your brothers and sisters for who they are, look past color and see another human being.

As you begin this Monday, a new week a new day, be thankful that you have made it here. Instead of seeking to impress, or seeking prosperity, let us seek a deeper relationship with God. Let us look to Him who gives life and can take it at anytime. Let us allow His blessings to unfold within our lives, and manifest in how we live our daily lives. Allow yourself to recognize your blessings, by stopping for a moment and looking around you. Oftentimes we fail to recognize the tremendous amount of goodness around us, because we are busy seeking more. When we are busy, we cannot see and appreciate what we have. When we are consumed with having more, we become blind to what we have already attained. 

Let us seek to abide under the shadows of the Almighty, and not lose sight, because what we seek in this world is temporary. We cannot take any of what we have acquired with us when we depart from this life. Acknowledge your blessings today so that you don't become trapped searching for temporary happiness.
